Multiple Teams · Lions move to 2-0

Lewis County narrowly escaped Westwood on Thursday with a win. The Lions defeated the Eagles 55 to 52. Once again the Lions were engaged in a low scoring affair, in which their defense was key. The Lions held Fairview’s two leading scorers, Antwan Washington and Alex Roy, to a combined 18 points. Three players were in double figures for the Lions. Trenton Walker led the attack with 19 points, while Jordan Davis had 10 and Jacob Kiebler posted another double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Lions struggled from the free throw line, as they shot only 52 percent (13-25) from the line on the night. The Lions travel to Bath County on Saturday for the first round of the EKC tournament.
